Researchers from the University of Toronto have conducted what sources indicate is the most comprehensive analysis to date of green roof performance in an urban environment. Using aerial remote sensing technology, the interdisciplinary team tracked vegetation health across nearly 1,500 green roofs in Toronto between 2011 and 2018, according to their study published in Nature Cities.
